Student Senate is giving students and professors a chance to connect over coffee! Each pair will receive two $5 vouchers to enjoy a drink together at Peet’s Coffee.

A database was compiled of local student discounts in the Grand Rapids area. This included details like $5 off at Frederik Meijer Gardens, 10% off at Panda Express, and more.

Student Senate helped to revamp the church directory list so students can easily find a church to attend and see which ones offer transportation.

Wave Cards allow students to get around Grand Rapids easily and with a reduced bus fare of only $0.50! Check out the resources below to learn more!

We’re collecting food donations for students staying on-campus over Christmas break in partnership with the CISD. Bring any donations to the Student Senate office in the library by Peets!

Partnering with Plaster Creek Stewards, Student Senate has allocated money to help create a new native meadow outside of Hiemenga Hall. This is to help attract local wildlife critters and increase campus sustainability efforts. 

Description goes hereWe partnered with the Disc Golf Club here at Calvin to help create and implement a fun and challenging Disc Gold Course that ventures throughout the East part of Calvin’s campus. We allocated $350 to help create a brand new 9 hole course.

In order to celebrate Valentine’s and provide students with a fun activity, we set up a free, DIY Valentine’s table for people to make their own homemade valentine’s cards and candy grams.

Student Senate partnered with SAO to send volunteers to Calvin’s Winter Formal. In exchange, we were able to host a giveaway of 10 tickets to Winter Formal geared towards students who wouldn’t have otherwise attended.
